1956-2006 : 50 ans de Revell en Europe.
J'ai essayé dans les pages suivantes d'évoquer ce cinquantenaire en cinquante kits. Naturellement il y a eu des choix cornéliens : j'aurais aimé parler des premiers kits militaires, des figurines animalières, des dragsters des 70's etc… malheureusement avec juste 50 images tous les sujets ne pouvaient être abordés. De plus connaissant mieux les sujets aéronautiques et spatiaux c'était ceux dont je pouvais le mieux mesurer l'impact puisqu'il fallait chaque année (et parfois il y avait des « collisions » avec plusieurs kits intéressants la même année) choisir un sujet marquant.
Tout cela pour dire que vous ne trouverez peut-être pas dans ces pages votre sujet préféré.
Ne cherchez pas non plus une histoire de Revell, le sujet reste encore à écrire bien que Thomas Graham en ait écrit la vision américaine dans « Remembering Revell model kits » (chez Schiffer)
En fin compte tenu de l'intérêt du sujet ces pages sont exceptionnellement bilingues.

1956-2006 : Fifty years of Revell in Europe
In the following pages I tried to evoke those fifty years through fifty remarkable kits. This obviously led to difficult choices : I would have like to write about the early military kits, the animal figures, the dragsters of the 70's… bu the game was just one kit per year and often their were many candidates for representing just one year.
Actually I based myself on catalogues so a kit listed as year Y may have actually appeared in Y+1 !
All this to say maybe you will not find your favorite Revell kit here. You will not find an history of Revell either , this remains to be told although Thomas Graham wrote of the US beginnings of the company in « Remembering Revell Model kits » (Schiffer publishing)
Then unusually, because I think these pages could have a wide appeal in Europe, I offer an English version of the text.
